Mood and Chromium Picolinate

Hi -today's been tough day due to time constraints but I'm still going to try to put up some stuff on chromium picolinate....

THE BASICS:  Chromium is a trace mineral required in minute amounts.  The element comes in many flavors but the common non-toxic ones we want are either chromium picolinate or GTF form.  Don't bother looking this up on Wikipedia -the article is surprisingly negatively skewed.

Though still not fully understood, we do know that chromium has a crucial role in blood glucose homeostasis -that means it helps intensifies the effects of insulin to absorb glucose into cells -which then use it for energy...

Most folks think of the blood-sugar altering properties, but there's a bit of substantiation for its use in the management of atypical depression....

This is cheap stuff and the dosage runs around 200 mcg/day  (note US RDI around 30 mcg for adults)

I'm going to add a link to a folder of mood-related papers....  and here are some fun videos!
