If you're like me, you don't have a lot of time -so here it is quick!
Since over 25% of American adults have elevated blood pressure (greater than 139/89) -I thought I'd add my two cents regarding some effective alternative treatments.

Here's some of the stuff I tell my patients:
- Stop smoking -lots of substantiation for this... LINK
- Reduce alcohol consumption...
- Reduce dietary sodium...
- exercise routine: at least 150 minutes/week good walk at a speed where you could hold a conversation. That's like 30 minutes or so/day. Also see THIS
- Nibble on a bit of good dark chocolate each day... Here's a great study...
- DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) 500-1000 mg/day. I like Carlson Super DHA for this... RESEARCH
- Hawthorn extract (one of my favorite herbs!) Jarrow makes a great product... 1500 mg/day
- CoQ10 -gotta have this one for healthy metabolism... Start out with 100 mg twice a day... LINK
- Grape Seed Extract: Start with 100 mg/day Here's a LINK to info...
- Magnesium... Lot of folks are deficient in this crucial mineral... Start with 100 mg/day-possibly increasing to 400mg/day LINK
