Herbs and Nutrition for High Blood Pressure

If you're like me, you don't have a lot of time -so here it is quick!


Since over 25% of American adults have elevated blood pressure (greater than 139/89) -I thought I'd add my two cents regarding some effective alternative treatments.

Here's some of the stuff I tell my patients:

  • Stop smoking  -lots of substantiation for this... LINK 
  • Reduce alcohol consumption...   
  • exercise routine:  at least 150 minutes/week good walk at a speed where you could hold a conversation.  That's like 30 minutes or so/day.  Also see THIS
  • CoQ10  -gotta have this one for healthy metabolism... Start out with 100 mg twice a day...  LINK  
  • Grape Seed Extract:  Start with 100 mg/day  Here's a LINK to info...
